Looks like a very reasonable list, and quite practical to put your WIPs first. Love some of the shawl patterns you’ve chosen, and I can’t wait to see your Sunny Spread. I’m obsessed with that pattern for some reason.

great start. I really love the leaves of grass pattern. I see you have a noro scarf on your list, do you like working with it? Something about the texture always makes me hesitant to use it.

Yeah…Noro can be really crunchy…but they aren’t all like that. Its definitely a yarn line to be molested before purchased. To be honest though, the price bothers me more than the feel of it. And for that reason, I will be using Red Heart’s Boutique Teasure for that scarf. It looks like Noro but its soft, an acrylic/wool blend, stripes beautifully and is a fraction of the cost (I found mine at Joann’s for $6ish). Its really lovely – give it a try!!!

I will be starting that project soon, so keep an eye out!!!

I came over to see your projects (I am a novice knitter and a not so novice crocheter) and I saw the Magic Loop sock tutorial on your list and your comments really helped me! This was the year I was going to make socks but I was so fearful. I have done Magic Loop but still get easily confused but I purchased the tutorial and watched her videos and I really think I can do this thanks to you and her! LOL! I ordered the yarn today, Cascade 220 although I got the Superwash and I can’t wait to start on this. I may even order that book you mentioned about Magic Loop as I have no one around here to ask (like physically in person).
This is my first YOP year too. How exciting is this? I am like you….I want to start ALL my projects like RIGHT NOW! Who needs to sleep, eat, or clean? LOL!
I have to go back and look at your other projects now as I got so excited about the ML sock tutorial I went off on a tangent. Thank you so much for your comments….it made me feel like I could do this! You’re very encouraging!

That’s a nice list and quite a challenge. I like the fact you try to learn new things… Mine is nearly boring in comparison, really safe.

I love the Sunny Spread, planning on making it into an afghan size though. I ❤ Noro yarns but plan on crocheting this using Bernat's Mosaic (100% acrylic) way better in price and I don't have to worry if the dogs decide to use it.

Me too! I can’t wait to tackle mine again!

Ohhhh…YOU MUST SEND ME A PICTURE OF THAT AFGHAN IN MOSAIC!
That’s going to be so cool (and washable unlike Noro)!
